Difference In Copper And Moly Compounds
- Copper lubrication is used for a wide range of temperatures till 1100-degree Celsius where the Moly ones cease work at 650 degrees.
- Copper withstands higher friction and pressure even at running conditions, while Moly can prevent corrosion at mere pressure of 8,928 kg/cm².
- Copper protects from rusting and corrosion at the surfaces of dissimilar metals, providing a range for versatile applications. Whereas Moly only prevents corrosion to some extent and isn’t that durable with changes in the surroundings.
- Copper is used in high corrosive and running joints, where the latter is used in bolts and nozzle heads.
